A graduate of Wayne State Law School, Andra Richardson has been a member of the Michigan Bar Association since May 1988. Ms. Richardson started her career as an Assistant Prosecuting Attorney for the Oakland County Prosecutor’s Office from January 1988 until September 1990 when she was appointed as a Magistrate at the 52-1st District Court in Novi, Michigan.
Andra Richardson is both diligent in her service to the community on the bench and committed to her private law practice. Ms. Richardson primarily practices family law. She handles divorce, custody, child and spousal support cases and post-judgment family law issues. In addition, she also handles some criminal law matters.
Ms. Richardson is known for zealously representing her clients and is well respected in the legal community. Andra Richardson is a member of the Family Law Section and the Criminal Law Section and is a member of the Oakland County Bar Association. In addition to her legal career, Andra is active in community service. She has been a member of the Detroit Doll League a non-profit organization for over twenty (20) years, which provides assistance to children and abused woman as well as awarding scholarships for college-bound students. Ms. Richardson is the proud mother of her two daughters, Brittney and Chelsea Richardson.
